"Charmed huh?"—Patrice Halliwell.

Patrice Halliwell is the fourth daughter of Patty Halliwell, born from the affair with her Whitelighter Samuel Wilder, and the legal daughter of a mortal man named Victor Bennett who she always thought of as her real father. The youngest, she is rebellious and extremely independent: often clashing with her eldest sister Piper.

Patrice inherited their distant relative Pamela Bousquet's Gift of Invisibility, and the whitelighter powers but they were soon stripped from The Elders after her birth.

Birth and Early Life

Patrice was born on August 2nd, 1977 to Patricia Halliwell, a descendant of the Warren Line, and Samuel Wilder, her Whitelighter. Before Patrice's conception, Patty and her husband Victor Bennett began having marital problems and chose to separate; only meeting every now and again to keep in contact because of their daughters. During this time, Patty fell in love with her Whitelighter, Sam, and had a brief love affair with him that resulted in Patrice herself. Since Angels and Witches were forbidden to be together, Patty broke things off with Sam and told everyone that Victor was Patrice's father. Victor finds out about Patty's fourth pregnancy and believes that the child is his. He moved back to Manor again to be with Patty and their daughters again.

Like her sisters before her, she showed magical potential while still in the womb: displaying the Whitelighter power of Orbing and the ability to heal. Not long after that, she was born in the Manor in a flurry of Orbs: proof of her Whitelighter heritage, however, Victor soon notices a difference that Patrice is not his but claims his own. Like Phoebe, Patrice was born in the Manor, atop the Spiritual Nexus. Like Phoebe, this makes her more susceptible to corruption and evil.

Growing Up

When her mother was killed at the hands of a Water Demon, Patrice was only an infant year old and barely remembers her like her oldest sister, Phoebe.

With Patty no longer around, she was enrolled in a regular mortal school where she struggled with making friends. As she grew up, she became something of a loner: her only friends at school were Phoebe and their own mutual acquaintances. Combined with the mischievousness that she shared with Phoebe, Patrice became something of a problem child and often got into heated arguments with her eldest sister, Prue as a result. Throughout this phase, her behaviour continued to worsen and worsen, to the point that she had to repeat a year of high school alongside Phoebe. The stage ended in Patrice's senior year when Penny died. 

Afterwards, Patrice changed drastically; she stopped partying and abusing substances and took her grades more seriously. She was later accepted into California University with a two-year degree in social services and quickly got a job as an assistant social worker.

Personality

Of the Charmed Ones, she is noted as being the most independent of the four Charmed Ones. Like all Warren Line descendants, She is stubborn and strong-willed and doesn't easily back down from a confrontation. Being the baby, she is somewhat rebellious and highly independent.

Powers and Abilities

Active Powers:

  • Invisibility - The ability to make oneself unable to be seen by other beings. For certain species, being invisible is a natural state of being. This is Patrice's first Wicca power which she gained in season 1 episode 1 when she and her sisters became witches.
    • Projective Invisibility: The ability to make another being or an object invisible without establishing physical contact.
    • Invisibility Cancellation: The ability to disable invisible cloaking, causing it to become visible.
    • Blindness Inducement: By turning optic nerves invisible, Patrice can make others temporarily blind.
    • Colour Manipulation: Patrice can also apply her ability to manipulate the interactions of light waves to seemingly change the colour of objects, for example altering her hair colour or turning her sister, Phoebe pink.
  • Shapeshifting - the power to change from one physical form or shape into another. This is Patrice's second Wicca power which she gained season 3 middle episode.
  • Conjuring the Elements - the ability to generate and manipulate the elements of nature: earth, water, fire, air, ice, and electricity. Paige gained this ability in season 5. Paige possesses this elemental power from her past self to the previous season who had it however Paige channeled the Enchantress's powers against her and bound her past life powers forever.
  • Force Fields - The ability to create force fields is often referred to as Shielding. This power is very rare and is only possessed by a few magical beings, who can be either good or evil.
